FREE Farm & Garden Day at Garfield Park Nature Center
Head out to Garfield Park and Nature Center learn all about farming and gardening. There will be children’s activities, farm animals, and more. Farm & Garden Day is hosted by the Cleveland Metroparks.

FREE Canton First Friday – Chalk the Walk
Enjoy an evening full of art, live music, street performers, great food and more! This month’s theme is Chalk the Walk. Walk through the Canton Arts District and observe and enjoy the creations of various chalk artists. The night is filled with activities including: FREE showing of “The Lorax” at The Canton Palace Theatre, lots of musical performances, belly dancing demonstrations, Elvis impersonators, and much more. Goldfish Catch at the Oak Knoll Wading Pool
Bring your kids down to Oak Knoll Wading Pool in Massillon for the Goldfish Catch. Each child will have the opportunity to catch their very own fish to take home. Please bring a bag or bucket to participate. No nets or glass containers. Children will be seperated by age group (4 and under, 5-7, 8-11 and 12 and older).

FREE Touch-a-Truck Events
Touch-a-Truck events give kids the opportunity to sit in the drivers seat, and even honk the horns of vehicles including police cars, firetrucks, army trucks, John Deer tractors, diggers, dump trucks, backhoes and more. My kids have loved every event we’ve gone to.

FREE Kids Fishing Derbies
These events give children the opportunity to learn how to fish and join in a friendly competition for a chance to win prizes. Pre-registration is typically required, and don’t forget to bring a fishing pole and bait.

FREE AFC Soccer Clinic in Parma
AFC is offering FREE soccer clinics for the community taught by the coaches and players from the AFC Cleveland Soccer Team. Every child that attends the clinic will receive a free t-shirt and a ticket to an AFC Cleveland home game. Register for this clinic here.

Geocaching in the Shaker Parklands
Geocasching is outdoor, scavenger hunt adventure to find hidden geocaches. During this event you’ll learn how to use a GPS Device to track down the location of the hidden geocaches. You can bring your own GPS device or use one from the Nature Center.

FREE Lake Erie Family Fest at the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center
The Family Fest at Lake Erie Nature Center is jam packed with activities including, the great duck race, kayaking, interactive fishing demonstrations, arts & crafts, historical reenactments, animal encounters, astronomy presentations, and much more.
