Turning snow into a dessert is rather fascinating for kids. So much so, that my kids request it after every snowfall…even if we’ve only had a light dusting. Thankfully, a few weeks ago we had a snow storm with enough accumulation that we could finally make our first batch of snow ice cream for the year. It’s a very simple recipe, so you probably already have the ingredients on hand.
Ingredients:
- 1 large bowl of fresh snow
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
Directions: Mix all the ingredients together. Eat immediately; do not try to freeze or refrigerate.
Snow Ice Cream is something that my mom used to make when we were little and the taste brings back so many memories. I enjoyed the treat almost as much as the kids did.
Enjoy!
